®This was the first draft for may work according to NOAA's objectives.
Based on this I made a summary on the different atmospheric models availables on the internet. Two chapters contains this summary including parameters, authors, brief descrition and other important details.

Please review it and let us discuss with Dr. Vasquez. Title: Expert database for information retrieval from remote sensing images for atmospheric models 1. Make a list of different types remote sensing images, For each image type find out the parameters that can be computed that can be used for atmospheric studies. 2. Check the atmosphere models that are in use today for estimating and predicting atmospheric parameters. I think the one commonly used is MODTRAN ( you can search in web) to see if it is available free and download a manual for it to check its inputs and outputs. 3. Select a set of useful parameters that can be used in the above atmosphere models, that can be computed from one image or a few images. For example for atmospheric temperature profiles, you will need images of AVHRR taken on several days. 4. You can then analyze the algorithms that are used to estimate these parameters from the images and also to predict future values from current estimated values. 5. When you analyze a bunch of algorithms you can see, how you can use Artificial Intelligence to implement parts of the algorithm, thereby you can develop an expert system for obtaining the parameters from images stored images. The database could contain the results of the application of the expert system and also the original data used by the expert system. So, the database is used as input to the artificial intelligence modules and the database also stores the output from the artificial intelligence modules. Saludos, Vidya
