ERF is a research project on distributed computing. Its goals are to develop a novel framework  for  the development of distributed systems by using events and rules to define their dynamic behavior.

The project is being carried out at the Center for Computing Research and Development of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus.

ERF is supported by a 3-year $449,000 grant from the National Science Foundation with matching funds of $255,000 from the University of Puerto Rico.
