The ERF project is responsible for the creation of the Software Research Laboratory (SoReL). SoReL provides hardware and software facilities to support projects in the following areas:

• Distributed Computing
• Human-Computer Interaction
• Information Systems

Hardware facilities:

• 7 x Dell Dimension Pentium 500 workstations (256M RAM/ 7G HD) with 19" triniton SVGA monitors
• 1 x Dell Dimension Dual-Pentium 550 wokstation (512M RAM / 9G HD)(acting as server)
• 1 x Sun Enterprise 250 Server (512M RAM / 18G RAID) (acting as application and file server)
• 1 x HP Scanner
• 1 x HP LaserJet 4050 Printer

Software  facilities:

• RedHat Linux (installed in a secondary disk in workstations)
